Spreading oaks, digging seedlings

Oak saplingsHello, friends. I decided to plant oak trees in my forest. Found where you can dig up young oak trees. This place is located near Vyatka. It’s all in the oaks! Just take a shovel and dig. It turns out that oaks breed here like this – during flood, the river spreads acorns throughout the area. After that, young oak trees sprout on a wide area. Dug out 7 oak trees. To dig even a small oak one needs a full-size shovel. You can’t dig up an oak with a small scoop – its root is too big. In order to go to the oak grove I needed a jumpsuit. In this jumpsuit, I crossed a small river, 8 meters wide, with a maximum depth of 120cm. Spread oaks!

Vyatka River July 21, 2018

View from the island to the city of Kirov.July 21, 2018 went down the boat down the river Vyatka. The descent was not great, about 5 kilometers by distance on the water. Swimming means – two PVC inflatable boats. One boat with Global Marine 3,5. Started movement in the area of Splavnaya Street, Kirov. Finished in the area of the old port, opposite the Titanic. The motor was switched on periodically – only if it was necessary to swim across from one bank to Vyatka, to the other. In the morning, even though there was a sun, a strong wind met us. On the wide smooth surface of the river there were high waves. Closer to dinner, the wind subsided, the waves calmed down and complete calm arose on the river. Closer to the beach found a desert island. On the island hoisted the antenna on the range of 14 MHz. I worked on the air and it was not without difficulty that I established 3 connections. For all the time traveling, they bathed, sunbathed, cooked food on the fire. Already in the evening they came to the shore from the city of Kirov, safely gathered the boats in bags and got to the house.

Short road Filetka – Pochvomash, Kirov

The steep sandy bank of the Vyatka River, away resting

Studying the area “Pochvomash” – discovered a dirt road. It turns out that this road connects the area of the Foleyka (OCM) and the “Pochvomash” of the city of Kirov. Road in the middle state, normally passing only in dry weather. In the rain it is difficult to drive through it. Most of the territory is flooded in spring. As a bonus – there is an exit to the river Vyatka! Yesterday I went to the river, bathed. “Beach” in good condition. When the water drops, a sandy beach opens. Watch the video. Continue reading

Walking with a dog on the old equestrian forest roads

Walk with a dog in the woodsAncient horse roadHello, friends. Last weekend I managed to go on a mini trip. Hike on foot, scheduled, with a dog. The total distance is 10 km. Went with a backpack. But the parking lot was found by the tick in the backpack, in things. He did not manage to get to the skin. Ticks small, the size of a match head. 1 * 1mm. The way ran through the field, marshland, forest. In the forest there were beautiful forest roads. Earlier here we used to go mainly on horses. Now such roads are called “old horse roads”. Used for exporting forests, conducting trading activities. Now there are only mushroom pickers. Some places on the road are fallen trees. Several forest streams crossed along the way. We often have rains, so there are a lot of water in the streams. Continue reading
